I bought this for my 4 year old nephew and he couldn't wait to start painting. I have to tell you - he did a great job! He was very content and couldn't wait for the paint to dry so he could play with them.

Overall, this was a great gift for my nephew, who is 5 1/2. He enjoyed decorating the cars, and then racing them with his dad. They go surprisingly fast given that it is just a pull-back action. The only problem was that the wheel on one car kept falling off (until fixed with some tape). Otherwise, 5 stars for creativity and fun. Also, he continued to play with the racing aspect of the cars for many days after he finished painting them.
